Two residents qualified as candidates for this Special Election: Les Fussell and Marcus Thompson. Voting in the special election for Council Post 3 begins February 22, 2021. All persons desiring to vote in said special election must be registered no later than 5:00 P. M. on February 16, 2021.

In-Person Voting will take place in the J.W. Stevens Wetlands Education Center located in J.F. Gregory Park (500 Cedar Street, Richmond Hill, GA 31324) from February 22, 2021
through March 12, 2021. Polls are open from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. for Advance Voting, and open at 7:00 A.M. and close at 7:00 P.M. on Election Day (Tuesday, March 16, 2021).

To request an absentee ballot application for the upcoming Special Election for Councilmember Post 3, please call City Hall at 912-756-3345 or send a message via FB Messenger (provide your name and address). Only residents living within the city limits of Richmond Hill can vote in this special election.

Friday, March 12th is the last day to request an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots must be received by Bryan County Elections by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16th to be counted in this Special Election. All absentee ballots must be mailed to Bryan County Elections & Registration at PO Box 1526, Pembroke, GA 31321.  There will not be any drop-off boxes available for ballots during this special election.
