The new traffic light on Hwy 17 northbound entering Richmond Hill at the TA truck stop is rerouting traffic out of your city and through Midway to access I95/Savannah. Someone needs to monitor this light and adjust the pattern. The backup created is ridiculous. After running into this backup AGAIN today we again turned around to go through Midway taking our $Dollars with us and away from you. After returning home I also saw 2 friends on social media making the same complaint who also turned around. We'll return with our $ when the problem is fixed, till then, Midway all the way!

As Richmond Hill continue growing and building new communities to accommodate more families, this section is becoming more dangerous for the night time drivers. Furthermore, for our High Schools students who are driving to school in these upcoming seasons of fall and winter where the day light comes out later during the morning hours and the afternoons are short. In addition, is becoming a hot area with no safe driving assurance for those who are entering to Brisbon Rd when traveling on Harris Trail Rd.
I anticipate the prompt response from Coastal Electric in joint with the motivation of the Richmond Hill City council to take into consideration this request. In my opinion, it seem easy because Coastal Electric plant is in this same corner where the NEW light pole is needed.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Marlene EM Ramirez

On the intersection of Port Royal Rd and Ford Avenue, near the publix, there needs to be a traffic light. People on Ford Avenue are often going 55-60 mph and people that need to turn left often have to wait a while for an opening in both lanes. In fact, most people have to turn right, then turn left on to another neighborhood, then finally turn right to go towards the main part of town. There has been far to many accidents, far to many tickets, far to many long waits. There needs to be a traffic light at the intersection of Port Royal Rd and Ford Avenue.

I am from out of town and visited the Starbucks at
9124 Ford Ave, Richmond Hill, GA 31324. The entire layout of the shopping center, including the one-way, is the worst I have ever encountered. As I pulled into the parking lot, I found myself turning left to parking spaces THEN noticing I was going against the "One Way." Once I parked, pointing my car towards DQ, I felt "trapped." There was no sidewalk or crosswalk. The Starbucks seating area was closed off to all but one entrance. I was forced to walk between tightly parked cars and the shrubs, where MANY have walked before.
Later, I went for a walk. I found returning to Starbucks to be equally poorly planned. The city sidewalk doesn't allow for easy entrance into the shopping center, so I walked on the beaten greenery to get to the store.
If there are footsteps of hundreds before me... if everyone I watch pulls in the wrong direction... it's not our fault, it's the urban planner's.
Consider foot traffic when building, please.

Someone is going to get seriously hurt at one of these intersections unless the lights are configured to allow turns on green. Simply not possible to turn on green at Timber Trail and many try to beat the light at GA-17 from Harris Trail since the light duration is too short and only allows 2 or 3 cars to turn.
